Ingredients
  

  • 1 box (15 oz) angel food cake mix (1-step mix only)
  • 1 can (21 oz) lemon pie filling

Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 rubber spatula or large spoon
  • 1 9x13-inch baking pan (glass or metal)
  • Parchment paper or nonstick spray (for lining)
  • Oven (preheated to 350°F / 175°C)
  • Wire rack (for cooling)
  • Knife (for slicing into bars)
  • Plastic wrap or airtight container (for storing)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine angel food cake mix and lemon pie filling. Stir gently until just combined.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 9x13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and springy to the touch.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely in the pan.
  6. Cut into squares. Optional: dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Use only 1-step angel food cake mix (no egg/butter versions).
  • Don’t overmix the batter—just stir until combined.
  • For gooey texture, bake closer to 25 minutes; for firmer bars, go to 30.
